Every gate we fix in Santa Clarita gets worked on by someone whose name you know before they arrive. That’s not a slogan. It’s how we staff, how we dispatch, and how Cole Rafferty has run this shop since 2008. The crew is small on purpose: four technicians who do gate repair, electric gate repair, and gate motor repair all day, every day. No general handyman work, no side quests. Just gates and openers across Valencia, Canyon Country, Saugus, Newhall, and every ridgeline community in between. The idea of a warden is someone who watches over a place and keeps it secure. That is the whole idea behind a gate, and it’s the job description for every person on this page.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Cole Rafferty, Owner
Cole founded Warden Gate Repair Santa Clarita in 2008 after a decade working on access systems and automated gates across Southern California. He is factory-trained on LiftMaster, FAAC, and DoorKing equipment, and he still takes service calls when the schedule demands it. Cole is the one who answers the phone after hours more often than not, because he believes a live voice at 2 a.m. matters more than a callback request. He is the reason every job carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise: if a repair fails, the return visit is free, in writing. When he is not tracing a low-voltage short or rebuilding a gate motor that fought back, he is probably at the shop bench testing a Viking control board that someone else gave up on. Cole writes the way he talks on a job site: short sentences, real brand names, no filler.
Manny R., Lead Technician
Manny has been with Warden Gate Repair Santa Clarita since 2014, and he has seen more broken gate motors in this valley than most people have seen sunsets. He specializes in electric gate repair, swing arm and slide gate openers, and the kind of intermittent faults that only show up on a Tuesday after a rainstorm. Manny is certified on FAAC and BFT systems and handles most of our commercial gate work in the industrial parks off of Rye Canyon. He is the first one to tell you a gate motor is the box that slides or swings your gate automatically, and the one to tell you when it is worth rebuilding versus replacing. Outside of work, Manny restores old motorcycles and keeps a running count of how many times a customer’s gate has been hit by a delivery truck.
Dana S., Senior Installer
Dana has been installing and servicing gate operators since 2010, and she has done it for Warden in Santa Clarita for the past seven years. Her specialty is retrofit work: taking an old, manual swinging gate and bringing it into the world of automation with Ghost Controls or Mighty Mule hardware, safety edges, and photo eyes that actually align. Dana is our lead on Viking and Linear systems, and she is the person we send when a gate has to work around an odd slope, a tight driveway, or a homeowner’s association rulebook that runs forty pages. She is a stickler for safety and will walk a customer through how the entrapment protection works before she packs up. On weekends, Dana hikes the trails above Placerita Canyon and cares more about proper gate sensor alignment than most people care about their own tire pressure.
Tommy K., Service Coordinator
Tommy is the first voice most Santa Clarita customers hear when they call (661) 425-9011 at 7 a.m. or 11 p.m. He has been with Warden Gate Repair since 2019 and handles dispatch, parts ordering, and the written quotes that go out before any wrench gets picked up. Tommy knows the difference between a gate motor that hums and one that clicks, and he can usually tell from a phone call whether a technician should bring a capacitor, a control board, or both. He is the one who sends every customer their technician’s name and photo before arrival, and he makes sure that photo ID badge gets shown at the door under the Threshold Standard. Tommy grew up in Canyon Country and still loses every argument about which Mexican food spot in the SCV is the best. He is also the reason our parts shelf for LiftMaster, BFT, and Elite boards stays stocked, even when the supply chain does not want it to be.
One Standard, Every Job
The Threshold Standard is not a binder on a shelf. It is the reason every technician who walks onto a Santa Clarita property has been background-checked, identity-verified, photo-badged, and sent to you by name and photo before they arrive. Cole enforces it on every visit, no exceptions, because a gate is a security device before it is a convenience. Every person on this page works under the same written price rule: the number is agreed upon before any work starts, and no surprise line items show up at the end. Every repair is guaranteed in writing through the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If the repair is not right, Warden makes it right, with a free second visit included in every job. That is the deal, whether Manny is chasing a short in Valencia, Dana is dialing in a Ghost Controls board in Saugus, or Tommy is talking a customer through a gate that only opens halfway when the wind blows. One standard, every job, every neighborhood, every time the gate does not do what it is supposed to do.
